In 2023, the Principal of College of Cape Town – who was fired recently after being found guilty on 21 counts of misconduct –
cheated my life-partner, Meryl Fleischer, out of 10 months’ salary (roughly R217 000) and also cheated her 6 part-time lecturers out of money they were owed for the hours they had taught.

Unfortunately, the College’s Labour Relations Officer – who served the former principal, Dr Muswaba, with great devotion for many years – seems to have persuaded the College’s Administrator, Dr Robert Nkuna, to ignore their claims.
Consequently, I – who am prohibited by a protection-order from posting anything about Dr Muswaba on social media – have decided that it is incumbent upon me to throw caution to the wind. Another reason for doing so is that the government is likely – if left to its own devices – to sweep Dr Muswaba’s corrupt activities under the carpet. On this point one notes that in 2024 the High Court set aside a R47 million security contract the College had awarded to a newly established Gauteng-based security-provider that was asking R7 million more than its existing security-provider (Cape Town based Helios Security, which has been operating for 19 years).

In addition, R17 million is alleged to have been spent/wasted on consultants who were advising the College on a plan to build a highly questionable R 300 million Head Office and Media Centre at one of its 7 campuses.
Under the circumstances, I am not prepared to allow myself to be silenced.
